Season 6 features some of our best heroes and weapons yet, spawning from the depths of corrupt labs and toxic sewers.

As with all seasons, collect shards of Premium and Loot heroes to summon the full character, and use these items during Clan Wars to special boosts! Our open economy systems lets you buy and sell skins game items at your leisure, so check out our Collections on Magic Eden to grab some skins.

Season 6 will last for roughly 3 months. During this time, you can enjoy all new Battle Pass, Contracts and Challenges, Fusion recipes, Attendance rewards, Leaderboard prizes, team-oriented Clan Wars, and more!

New season, new Battle Pass! Earn Battle Pass points from playing in matches, completing Challenges, joining Clan Wars, and more. Collect hero and weapon shards, Butter, Orbs and other prizes as you grind though this season’s Battle Pass.

Premium Mutant Drop 🧩

During Season 6, you can use the Premium Mutant Drop to collect shards of Premium Mutants. These new Mutants will give special boosts in Clan Wars.

Mutant Fusion 🥼

We’ve got some special Fusion recipes going live in Season 6! If you’re not familiar, Fusion is an in-game process where you can fuse minted items to craft ultra rare heroes and weapons. Fusion items give boosts in Clan Wars, helping you complete Raids faster and get more points from Staking.

The Faraway Shop 🛒

User-generated content is a core feature of the Faraway universe. Over the last few seasons, we’ve launched tools to let creators customize existing Mini Royale heroes, and now, we’re excited to launch the upcoming Faraway Shop, where community members can upload and sell their very own 3d models.

The Faraway Shop launches hand-in-hand with the Faraway Creator Suite, a portal for users to create and deploy their models onto the blockchain of their choice. Purchasers will be able to use these skins in Mini Royale, Ready Player Me compatible products, and in some exciting Faraway products that have yet to be announced.

We’re still early, but check out shop.faraway.com to get a feel for what’s coming!

Life’s a Beach ☀️

The sea, the sand, and the SSG. Season 6 brings a brand new battlefield to the game: Beach Map. One of our best maps yet, Beach Map features a seaside escape overrun with Mini Royale battlers.

Beach Map is available in private and public matches for Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag.

Halloween Surprise 🎃

We’ve got a special update planned for this Halloween season! We’re giving a classic map a spookified nighttime makeover. A new hallow-hero will make his entry into the game as well, so stay tuned for updates!

Ready the cannons! Mini Royale Season 5 is kicking off with a bang!

We’re so excited to jump into the next chapter of Mini Royale: Nations — Season 5: Pirate Booty! Here’s what you can look forward to at launch and over the course of the next 13 weeks.

New Heroes

Season 5: Pirate Booty brings with it a new cast of seafarers. From pirates to sea gods, we’re launching a new gang of Premium and Loot heroes with rarities varying from Uncommon to Legendary.

Like previous seasons, heroes can be summoned in the Lab after collecting all shards of a specific skin. Shards are dropped as prizes from Battle Pass, Contracts, Challenges, Clan Wars, and, for some heroes, from the Pirate Booty Drop.

Certain new heroes will provide boosts in Clan Wars, and some will unlock special quests when equipped.

Season 5 will also feature 4 Fusion heroes (including the sole Season 5 legendary Premium hero, Captain Firebeard) and 1 legendary Fusion weapon.

If you’re new here, Fusion is the process of burning certain recipe ingredients to unlock higher rarity heroes and weapons via the Fusion Lab in miniroyale.io.

New Weapons

A buccaneer is nothing without their weapon! Season 5 will see all new AK47s, MK18s, P90s, sniper rifles, and vectors.

Like our heroes, weapons will be available to collect as shards, with the full weapons sourced through summoning in the Lab.

New Battle Pass

New season, new Battle Pass!

Get rewarded for your grind through tiers of Battle Pass prizes. Battle Pass points can be earned from gameplay alone, and are also given as prizes for Clan Wars and Season Quests.

Want better prizes? Unlock the Premium Tier of the Battle Pass by staking a Season 5 Premium Hero.

And don’t forget! You can increase the amounts of Battle Pass points your earn depending on how many minted heroes (any season) you have in your inventory.

During IfToys Season, we introduced Assist Quests to reward players for working together as a team. Now, we’re excited to announce more updates to quest types. Starting with Season 5, players will be able to unlock:

• Perk Quests - Require usage of weapons with specific perks

• Level Quests - Require specific item level for your equipped Hero

• Gear Quests - Require Gear to be equipped to you Hero

• UGC (user-generated content) Quests - Require equipping a Hero made by a Faraway Creator

Make Your Own Maps

If you missed the news, we recently announced our partnership with Hiber that will let players make their own maps using Hiber3D’s no-code tools and import them into Mini Royale: Nations.

With planned launch of map portability during Season 5, both new and experienced map makers will have new ways to showcase their creativity, and will even be able to earn from their creations.

Say Hello to the Faraway Shop

We’re so excited to launch the Faraway Shop during Season 5. At launch, the Faraway Shop will be a hub where anyone can can buy and sell amazing Heroes made by artists and creators in the Faraway community.

All Heroes made by creators will be useable in Mini Royale: Nations as well as in thousands of partner games, digital experiences and metaverses using our global avatar system enabled by our partnership with Ready Player Me.

Once the Faraway Shop is live, creators will have their own storefronts where they can manage their inventory and make updates. In addition to being able to sell their own custom 3d models, later on, creators will also be able to sell Hero Remixes (existing Faraway-made models with creator-made textures) in the Faraway Shop.

The shop will also highlight top-tier creators through special featuring on the site.

Campaign Mode

One of our key focuses for the past few seasons has been to improve new player onboarding, and to make sure that the initial newcomer experience is fun, impactful, and easy to digest.

Season 5 will showcase an all new Campaign Mode, where players can complete missions in non-PvP gameplay for prizes. To advance through campaign mode, collect all of the stars at each level.

Prizes for campaign mode include Hero shards, weapon shards, Butter, orbs and enriched orbs.

New Map

Welcome to Paradisa, your newest battleground.

Paradisa is our first ever map to be launched in collaboration with a community artist. This map was created by talented map designer Anak0ndAK - you can find him in our Discord server!

As the first public map to be created externally from Faraway, we’re so excited to get Paradisa out in the wild for you all to experience.

Team Choice in Private Rooms

A small but mighty update - we’ve redesigned the Private Room system to let hosts send out 2 separate links to put players on either team Alpha or team Bravo. This is a huge help for people who want to organize tournaments.

Minting Requirements Updates

Previously, items needed to be upgraded through gameplay to level 10 before they could be minted. As of Season 5, all Heroes and weapons can be minted at level 1. Players must still reach level 20 in order to mint.

We’ve introduced support for user-created textures on existing 3d models with the launch of the Faraway Creator Program, with support for submitting fully customized 3d models coming soon. And today, we’re excited to announce a partnership with Hiber that will let user-created maps built through Hiber3D be playable in Mini Royale: Nations.

Here’s what you need to know!

Maps For Players, By Players

Hiber was launched in 2017 to accelerate the adoption of the 3D web by enabling brands and creators to easily build, manage and monetize their own virtual world presence. With close to 5 million user-generated 3D worlds built, HiberWorld has become a hub for creativity by empowering users with seamless tools for world-building.

You can check out some existing games on the HiberWorld site here, and you can jump right into creating your own world as well.

Hiber3D comes equipped with hundreds of objects and custom textures to help users create unique maps just by dragging and dropping. Anyone, and we mean anyone, can make an incredible world in minutes using Hiber3D, regardless of their skill level in 3D design. 

As part of the partnership, we’re working closely with the Hiber team to create a seamless import system that will let map creators implement Mini Royale map requirements like spawn points and flag bases. 

New Monetization Streams for Map Creators

In addition to user-generated content, we maintain a serious focus on interoperability to let game assets travel from our own games out into the burgeoning web3 gaming universe. We don’t just want artists to create their own maps for usage in Mini Royale; We’re building out systems to let map creators profit from their worlds through interoperability with other games outside of the Faraway ecosystem. More on that coming soon.

So yes, Faraway is taking another step forward for user-generated content and interoperability in web3. We’ll let you know when you can start creating your own maps soon, so stay tuned!

We’ve been talking about the importance and advantages of supporting user-generated content in our games for a while now.

From our recent compatibility partnership with Ready Player Me, which allows players to import or create their own custom avatars in Mini Royale: Nations and to take their Mini Royale: Nations heroes into thousands of gaming and metaverse experiences, to the Faraway Creator Program, which, in its early state, lets anyone submit their own reskins of Season 4 Premium heroes, we are dedicated to building tools that help expand our gaming ecosystem beyond the creativity of our own team.

And there’s still so much more to come, like support for player-created maps and 3d models—stay tuned for news about partnerships on the horizon that will make map building easier and more fun that ever! 👀

For now, here’s the big update: As of today, you can now purchase user-generated skins in Mini Royale: Nations!

How It Works

User-generated skins are currently available for the following Premium heroes: Akuma, Batto, Daichi, Frozen Warrior, Hibagon, Holy Emperor, Kitsune, Kuma San, Mei, MekaShogun, Sakura, Shadow Ronin, Tokyo Rebel, Usagi, and Yugi (see image below).

You can only equip UGC skins to heroes that you already own. To view skins that are available for purchase, head to your Inventory and select one of the heroes listed above.

You can scroll through the available options below the character, and purchase directly in game by clicking the Buy button.

To complete your purchase, connect your wallet and set a target wallet, hit Mint, and approve the transaction in your wallet.

Congrats! You just supported a Faraway Creator, and now you have another cool skin!

Now that you own your very own UGC skin, you are welcome to do with it as you please. You can send it to a friend, but note that they can only use it in game if own the minted base character (you need to already own a minted Shadow Ronin to equip a UGC skin designed for Shadow Ronin).

If you’re staking for economic points in Clan Wars, you can stake your hero even if it has a UGC skin equipped. You can’t stake a UGC skin by itself though.

You can list your UGC skins for secondary sales as well. Check out our Faraway Creator Collection on Magic Eden!

Keep in mind that if you buy a UGC skin for a Hero that you don’t already own, it will still show up in your wallet, but you won’t see it in your in-game inventory.

But There’s More to Come…

Buying community skins in game is an incredible feature, but it’s really just the start.

This summer, we’ll be launching the Faraway Shop where you’ll be able to browse and purchase user-created skins as well as set up your own storefront and sell your own creations. More on that later.

The Story of The Endless

The world is changing. Global warming, deforestation, pollution, and species loss enshroud society. In this apocalyptic world, a light shines in the dark. The Endless awake with a singular mission: to save the world from the impending doomsday. Turning their ancient samurai helmets into gas masks, these heroes rise from the fog to serve as our final defense against humanity’s demise.

The Endless was brought to life through collaboration with IFTOYS, a designer collectible brand by artist Wenzi Tao. IFTOYS physical collectibles can be purchased at vendor shops like Artional Collectible and more.

Iftoys season will last 8 weeks and will end on June 22, 2023.

Fusion Immortals

Three Endless Immortal Heroes are available through Fusion.

Fusion is the process of burning ingredients to create a higher rarity hero. Each Fusion recipe in Iftoys Season consists of 1 specific Genesis hero and 1 specific Companion hero. Both of these heroes are burned to create the resulting hero and are thus removed from supply forever.

Fusion takes place on Mini Royale: Nations in the Lab tab, accessible on the home page.

The schedule for Fusion recipe launch is:

• Tuesday, May 30:

  • ED-E9 Machine - Ingredients: ED-E7 Black (Genesis) + E7 2022 Xmas Special (Companion)

Prize Immortals (Endless Ghost and B&W Porcelain)

The Endless Ghost is a 1 of 1 legendary hero that will be sent as a prize to the holder with the highest Collection Power score at the end of Iftoys Season.

Collection Power score is the sum of all Power Score of each individual Iftoys heroes in the wallets connected to the holder's Faraway account.

Each hero in Mini Royale: Nations has a Power score. This score is determined by drop type, season, rarity, and item level. You can increase your heroes' Power scores by equipping them in matches, which adds to their Item Level.

You can view your hero's Power score in the inventory page in Mini Royale: Nations.

A hero's Power score can be found on the right side of the Inventory page

Check out the Collection Power Leaderboard. You must connect your wallet(s) to your Faraway account in order to place on the leaderboard. If you have Endless heroes in different wallets, they will all still contribute to your leaderboard position as long as they are all connected to your Faraway account.

The Endless Ghost will be sent to the winning holder 24 hours after the end of Iftoys Season (ends June 22).

B&W Porcelain is a 1 of 20 Epic hero that will be sent as a prize to 20 holders that own the Endless heroes with the highest individual Power score.

As mentioned above, Power score is determined by drop type, season, rarity. You can view your heroes' Power score in the inventory page in Mini Royale: Nations.

Heroes from any collection type (Genesis, Companion, and Immortal) are all eligible for this leaderboard.

Check out the Hero Power Leaderboard. You must connect your wallet(s) to your Faraway account in order to place on the leaderboard. The same person can place in multiple spots on the leaderboard.

The 20 B&W Porcelains will be sent to the leaderboard winners 24 hours after the end of Iftoys Season (ends June 22).

Clan Wars

There will be 4 Clan Wars during the 8-week Iftoys Season.

Raid progress boosts will be given to Endless Genesis holders for each Clan War, and to Endless Immortal holders for the last 2 Clan Wars.

How to Get on the Whitelist

Faraway has partnered with FreeNFT to provide an optimal whitelist experience for new community members. The whitelist for The Endless Genesis Collection will not be over allocated - There are exactly 888 whitelist spots available.

Follow the instructions on the FreeNFT page to register for the whitelist. The whitelist will close for registrations about 1 week before the mint. At this time, FreeNFT will announce that the whitelist has been finalized and is public. You will be able to check if you are on the whitelist by connecting your wallet at freenft.com/whitelist/faraway.

Faraway has also reserved a small amount of whitelist spots for existing Faraway and Mini Royale: Nations community members.

How to Mint

The only site for minting The Endless Genesis Collection is iftoys.faraway.com.

On mint day, head to the mint site and click Continue with Faraway.

You can then connect your MetaMask.

Follow the steps in your MetaMask plugin to connect your wallet.

If your wallet has been whitelisted, the Continue with Faraway button will change to a Mint button and you will be able to mint.

Click the Mint button to proceed to the free mint.

By using Faraway Checkout to mint your Free Endless Genesis hero, you will be able to choose the wallet you want to mint to as well as the wallet you want to send the hero to. You can choose to send the hero to a different wallet from the wallet you mint. There is no additional gas fee to send the hero to a different wallet.

Please note that you will need to cover any gas fees for the initial mint.

Ready Player Me is a leading avatar platform, with thousands of partner apps across gaming, virtual experiences, streaming solutions, and more. We joined forces with the Ready Player Me team to bring true, permissionless interoperability to life.

How It Works

Ready Player Me ➡ Mini Royale: Nations

To use your Ready Player Me avatar in Mini Royale: Nations, log in to your account. Click Loadouts in the left-hand menu, and select any hero to be brought to the Inventory page.

From there, you’ll be able to log in to your existing Ready Player Me account, or create a new one. If you link your account, you can use any Ready Player Me skin that you’ve already created, or you can make a brand new avatar.

Once you choose your skin, click Equip to wear it in game. You skin will be automatically saved in your Ready Player Me avatar collection.

Mini Royale: Nations ➡ Ready Player Me

You can bring your Season 4 Mini Royale: Nations skins into the Ready Player Me avatar hub, with compatibility for other seasons coming soon.

To start, head to readyplayer.me, log in or create an account, click Enter Hub, then go to Wardrobe.

Connect your Phantom wallet, then select the skins you want to import.

Once you import your skins, click Wear on the skin you want, then select the skin, then Enter Hub!

Congrats! You can now use your skins in hundreds of Ready Player Me enabled apps. Try it out for yourself! Click Discover Apps and jump into your new world.

This is just the start of a new world of interoperability for games in and beyond the Faraway ecosystem. What Are Burn Points?

Burn Points are a new game currency that can be used to unlock Premium Hero Shards in the Premium Samurai Drop.

Players receive Burn Points from burning Loot Hero skins in the Bonfire. Note that you must be logged in to your Faraway account to access the Bonfire. Hit Sign In on faraway.com to log in - Your Faraway login uses the same creds as your Mini Royale account.

Loot Heroes must be minted in order to be burned. Heroes and weapons can be minted in game after all shards have been collected and the item has been summoned in the Lab. 

With this release, only Loot Heroes can be burned for Burn Points. You’ll be able to burn Loot Weapons and unequipped Gear for Burn Points soon!

The amount of Burn Points received depends on three factors:

• Power Level of the Hero

• Equipped Gear

• Season of the Hero

Power Level

Each Premium and Loot Hero has a Power Level that is determined by various attributes of that Hero. Equipping Gear to a Hero also affects Power Level by boosting various progression stats like strength, toughness, vitality, and more. 

Power Level does not currently affect PvP gameplay, but will play an important part in PvE modes. 

When a Loot Hero is burned in the Bonfire, their Power Level contributes to how many Burn Points the player will receive after the burn.

Equipped Gear

Gear is a mintable item that boosts a Hero’s Power Level when equipped. Each piece of Gear has a type, alignment, allegiance, and set.

Gear can be unlocked in game through Fusion Contracts. You can also scoop up Gear on Magic Eden.

Important note: When a Loot Hero that has Gear equipped is burned in the Bonfire, the Gear also contributes to how many Burn Points the player will receive after the burn.

Season

The Season that the Hero was released in contributes to the Season Vintage Bonus, which works like wine: The older the Hero, the better!

The Season Vintage Bonus is applied to the Power Level and Gear Points of the Loot Hero.

How Do I Get Burn Points?

To receive Burn Points, head to the Bonfire. Then choose the Loot Heroes that you want to Burn. Some Heroes will provide more Burn Points than others, so choose wisely! You can see how many Burn Points you will receive from the Burn alone after you select a Hero.

COMING SOON: You will also be able to get Burn Points from fusing Heroes and weapons in the Lab.

Get Extra Burn Points with Butter

You can also spend Butter for a random bonus multiplier to the Burn Points you receive for that Hero by spending Butter.

ICYMI: Butter is a game currency earned from Battle Pass, Clan Wars and Premium Contracts.

After each Burn, players can spend 500 Butter for a chance at up to 10x more Burn Points.

What Does Burning a Loot Hero Do?

Burning a Hero essentially removes that Hero from existence. It is removed from supply and unable to be accessed by the holder. It’s important to note that any Gear equipped to a Hero that is burned in the Bonfire will also be removed from supply and inaccessible to the holder.

What Can I Do with Burn Points?

Once you have Burn Points, you can spend them on the Premium Samurai Drop to unlock Hero Shards. If you don’t have Burn Points, you can still spend SOL to unlock Hero Shards.

The cost in Burn Points for the Premium Samurai Drop are:

• 1 spin - 18 Burn Points

• 10 spins - 164 Burn Points

• 100 spins - 1454 Burn Points

Equipping any of the four Shadow Ronin skins will provide players with a 600% Raid Progression boost, and a 600% Staking boost in the Tokyo Takeover Clan War, live Friday, Jan 13 through Monday, Jan 16. But how do you deal with gear on-chain? How can you equip an NFT to another NFT? How will this parent-child relationship look and function in a marketplace? Without any examples to reference or work with, we built a system that we call NFT Imprinting — the ability for an on-chain item to “own” another. Pretty cool, right?

When a player equips gear to a Hero in game, that gear is then merged into the metadata of the Hero. If the player rents out, sells, or sends that Hero to another wallet, the imprinted gear stays attached.

NFT Imprinting is one of many features of the Faraway Platform. We’re excited to have this novel implementation finally out in the wild!

Now, onto the details! There are 3 things to cover: Base Progression Stats, Gear, and Power Level 👇

Hero Base Progression Stats

On their own, Heroes have Base Progression Stats unrelated to gear. These stats are determined by Season, Collection, Zodiac, Allegiance, and Rarity of the Hero. These stats are also boosted at different rates depending on the Item Level of the Hero.

Progression Stats include:

• Strength (attack)

• Toughness (defense)

• Vitality (HP)

• Agility (speed)

• Intellect (accuracy)

• Luck (resist)

By Collection

Base Progression Stats are linked to Hero Collection.

Premium Heroes have the highest stats, followed by Special Collection Heroes, then by Loot Collection.

By Rarity

Base Progression Stats are linked to Hero Rarity.

Legendary Heroes having the highest stats, followed by Epic, then Rare, then Uncommon.

By Season

Base Progression Stats are affected by the Season that the Hero belongs to. Certain Seasons boost or detract from certain base stats.

By Allegiance

Base Progression Stats are affected by the Allegiance that the Hero has. Certain Allegiances boost or detract from certain base stats.

By Zodiac

Base Progression Stats are affected by the Zodiac that the Hero has. Certain Zodiacs boost or detract from certain base stats.

Base Stat Boost per Level

Heroes and weapons have Item Levels that can be increased through in-game usage.

Base Stats are boosted by Item Levels depending on their Collection and Rarities:

Premium Collection

• Legendary: +120 points to each Base Stat per Item Level

• Epic: +40 points to each Base Stat per Item Level

• Rare: +20 points to each Base Stat per Item Level

• Uncommon: +8 points to each Base Stat per Item Level

Special Collection

• Legendary: +60 points to each Base Stat per Item Level

• Epic: +16 points to each Base Stat per Item Level

• Rare: +8 points to each Base Stat per Item Level

• Uncommon: +4 points to each Base Stat per Item Level

Loot Collection

• Legendary: +48 points to each Base Stat per Item Level

• Epic: +12 points to each Base Stat per Item Level

• Rare: +4 points to each Base Stat per Item Level

• Uncommon: +2 points to each Base Stat per Item Level

Gear Overview

So what do Base Progression Stats have to do with gear?

In short, equipping gear adds boosts to Base Progressions Stats of a Hero based on the gear’s attributes:

• Type

• Primary Stat

• Substats

• Alignment

• Rarity

• Allegiance

Type

There are 6 types of gear now live in Mini Royale: Nations: Rings, Necklaces, Watches, Bracelets, Perfume, and Belts.

Primary Stats & Substats

All gear has 1 Primary Stat, and 0 to 3 Substats. Substats will be coming in V2. The Primary Stats and Substats of the gear boost the Base Progression Stats of the Hero the gear has been equipped to.

Each gear type (necklace, belt, etc) has one predetermined Primary Stat:

• Necklace: Strength

• Belt: Toughness

• Perfume: Vitality

• Bracelet: Agility or Strength

• Ring: Intellect or Toughness

• Watch: Luck or Vitality

Substats of the same categories are applied to different gear items:

• Necklace: Strength, Toughness, Agility or Vitality

• Belt: Toughness, Vitality, Agility or Intellect

• Perfume: Vitality, Agility, Intellect or Luck

• Bracelet: Toughness, Vitality, Intellect or Luck

• Ring: Strength, Vitality, Agility or Luck

• Watch: Strength, Toughness, Agility, or Intellect

Alignment

Gear can be either Good or Evil.

Good gear can be equipped on Heroes whose metadata Alignment is Good. Evil gear can be equipped on heroes whose Alignment is Evil. And if a Hero has an Alignment of Morally Flexible, they can equip both Good and Evil gear.

Rarity (Coming in V2)

In addition to type (ring, belt, etc) and alignment (good or evil), gear also has rarity: Uncommon, Rare, Epic or Legendary.

Rarity affects three aspects of a piece of gear:

• Quantity of Substats

  • Uncommon gear: 0 Substats

  • Rare gear: 1 Substat

  • Epic gear: 2 Substats

  • Legendary gear: 3 Substats

• Power amount of the Primary Stat

• Power amount of the Substats

Higher the rarity of the gear means higher the Primary and Substats, which means that the Hero the gear is equipped to will have a higher Power Level.

Allegiance

Allegiance is an attribute assigned to Premium and Loot Heroes like The Underground, Anarchists, Technorati, etc.

Some gear will also have Allegiance. If gear has the same Allegiance as the Hero that it’s equipped to, the Primary Stat of that piece of gear will be boosted.

Example:

• You have a Rare Bracelet with an Allegiance to the Capitalists. The Primary Stat for your Bracelet is Agility. When you equip this Bracelet on a Hero who also has an Allegiance to the Capitalists, the Agility stat on the Bracelet, and thus on the Hero, will increase.

Set Bonuses

Gear can also be part of a set. Equipping 3 types of gear from the same set will provide a Set Bonus, which boosts the wearer’s overall Power Level.

There are 17 sets, including: 

• Guardian Set

• Fury Set

• Immortal Set

• Resilience Set

• And more!

Set Bonuses are applied to the Progression stats of the gear, and not the Base Progression Stats of the Hero. Set Bonuses can affect 1 or more stats like:

• Resilience Set Bonus: +10% Luck

• Life Set Bonus: +5% Vitality

• Mastermind Set Bonus: +9% Intellect & +6% Agility

• Etc

Unlocking Gear

Gear is unlocked through Fusion Contracts, which are accessible to players at level 44 and above. Fusion Contracts are a series of missions that require the usage of a Hero who was initially forged in the Fusion Lab.

Gear must be minted in order to be equipped. Players must be at least level 20 to mint gear, and Gear can be minted at Item Level 1.

Outside of the game, gear can be purchased in our Gear Collection on Magic Eden.

You can also purchase a Hero with gear already equipped on Magic Eden. You will see the details of the Gear in the metadata of that Hero. Heroes that have Gear equipped will also have an icon in the bottom left hand of the NFT image. The color and position of the highlighted shape in the image communicate which type of gear is equipped and which rarity it is.

Equipping Gear

Up to 6 gear items can be equipped to a Hero — one per type (necklace, belt, etc).

There is no Butter fee to equip gear to a Hero, or to swap in gear of the same type. However, there is a Butter fee to unequip a type of gear from a Hero. This fee changes according to gear rarity.

In case you missed it: Butter is an off-chain game currency that can be unlocked through Battle Pass, Premium Contracts, and Clan Wars. Butter can also be purchased in the Shop.

Unequipping Fees:

• Uncommon gear = 25 Butter

• Rare gear = 75 Butter

• Epic gear = 150 Butter

• Legendary gear = 250 Butter

Gear must be minted to be equipped to a Hero, and the Hero that it is equipped to must also be minted.

Power Level

We’ve talked a lot about the details, but what’s the point of collecting all this gear?!

Equipping gear adds boosts to the Progressions Stats of a Hero, which make up the Hero’s overall Power Level. 

While it won’t affect PvP gameplay, Power Level will come into play for PvE modes in the future.

Power Level will also affect the number of Burn Points that a player receives when casting a skin into the Bonfire.

🥷 Season 4 Heroes

New season, new heroes! Say hello to S4 street fighters, samurai, and shinigami. As always, Mini Royale season heroes come in 2 collections - Premium and Loot.

This season, we’re doing things a little differently. Now, all heroes will be unlockable through Item Shards, and can only be summoned after all Shards of that hero have been collected.

Once all Item Shards of a hero have been collected, a random color variation of that hero can be summoned.

For example, there are 5 color variations of the Legendary Premium Hero Ancient Sarugami. It takes 480 Shards to unlock a Legendary Premium Hero. Once you collect all 480 Shards, you can summon your Ancient Sarugami in the Lab and will receive 1 of the 5 color variations.

Shard Requirements

Specific rarity items (Heroes and weapons) have specific Shard count requirements across both Premium and Loot collections:

• Uncommon Item: 60 Shards

• Rare Item: 120 Shards

• Epic Item: 240 Shards

• Legendary Item: 480 Shards

Item Shards are earned through various in-game mechanics like the Battle Pass, Challenges, Contracts, Big Shot , Clan Wars, and through the all new Premium Samurai Drop (a premium loot box that we will describe more below).

One Hero, One Collection

In Season 4, each Hero is either Premium or Loot. That means that all color variations of that same Hero belong to the same collection. If a Hero is Premium, no color variations of that Hero will appear in the Loot collection, and vice versa.

IMPORTANT NOTE: As of Season 4, the price to mint an in-game item is now 0.08 SOL

S4 Premium Heroes

In Season 4, there are about 20 Premium Heroes. There are 2 ways to get Premium Hero Shards: Most Shards are accessible through the Premium Samurai Drop, but some can also be earned from Premium Contracts. More on those below!

S4 Premium Collection Perks

Premium Collection Heroes have a few bonuses in Season 4:

1. The S4 Premium Battle Pass can only be unlocked by staking S4 Premium Heroes

2. S4 Premium Heroes (in addition to S1-S3 Premium Heroes + Sank Heroes) will contribute to Battle Pass Boost, helping you unlock prizes faster.

   • There are 5 tiers of Battle Pass Boost in Season 4

     • Tier 1: 10% boost for holders of one Premium Drop NFT

     • Tier 2: 20% boost for holders of 2-4 Premium Drop NFTs

     • Tier 3: 30% boost for holders of 5+ Premium Drop NFTs

     • Tier 4: 40% boost for holders of 10-24 Premium Drop NFTs

     • Tier 5: 50% boost for holders of 25+ Premium Drop NFTs

3. The S4 Premium Contracts can only be unlocked by equipping a S4 Premium Hero

And, as you all know, staking Premium Heroes from any season gives you a higher Base Point amount for Economic Points in Clan Wars!

S4 Loot Heroes & Weapons

Unlike S4 Premium Heroes, Shards for S4 Loot Items (Heroes and weapons) are unlockable in game. Shards for these items are spread throughout the Battle Pass, Challenges, Daily Attendance, and the Lucky Shooting Range. Also, a handful of higher rarity Loot Heroes are only available in the Fusion Lab. More on that in the Fusion section below.

Loot also plays a special role in Season 4. Loot Contracts can only be unlocked by equipping S4 Loot. Additionally, Season 4 Loot Fusion Heroes can give access to special Fusion Contracts that reward rare Gear (a new RPG mechanic coming in Season 4!).

Unlike Premium and Loot Heroes, color variations for weapons are separate items. That means that you can collect shards for a specific color variation of a weapon, as opposed to collecting shards for the weapon type and receiving a random color variation once the item has been summoned in the Lab.

🏆 NEW! Premium Samurai Drop & Clan Wars Jackpot

We talked a little about the use cases for Premium Heroes above, but where do they actually come from?!

In Season 4, the majority of all shards for Premium Heroes are unlockable through the Premium Samurai Drop - a loot box mechanic that adds to a weekly prize pool for Clan Wars participants.

To unlock Premium Hero Shards in Season 4, head to the Mini Royale website. You can then select various packages of open quantities.

Once you collect all of the Shards of a Premium Hero, you can head to the Lab to summon them.

Clan Wars Jackpot

In Season 4, Premium Heroes play an essential role for Clan Wars. You can read about the full update here, but here’s the tl;dr:

Each week, one special Premium hero will give a huge boost in Clan Wars. This Hero, like all other Premium Heroes, is unlockable through the Premium Samurai Drop mentioned above.

Once you obtain the featured Hero, you can equip it during the Clan War to get your boosts in Raids and Staking. Rarity of the Hero affects boosts:

• If the featured Hero is Rare: 600% Boost

• If the featured Hero is Epic: 800% Boost

• If the featured Hero is Legendary: 1000% Boost

Here’s where the Jackpot comes in! A portion of the SOL spent on unlocking Heroes for that week will go directly to the Clan Wars Jackpot, and will be redistributed to the top Clans and Individual players at the end of the Clan War based on their position in the Clan Wars Leaderboard.

🎫 Battle Pass

New season, new Battle Pass! The Season 4 Battle Pass has 120 Tiers - a total of 2.5 millions Battle Pass points are needed to progress through all the tiers.

Battle Pass points are earned through PvP gameplay, Season Challenges, Loot Contracts, and Clan Wars.

The Season 4 Battle Pass prizes include Loot Shards, Orbs and Enriched Orbs, and Butter.

The Premium Tier of the Season 4 Battle Pass will unlock higher quantities of the prizes mentioned above as well as some exclusive hero shards, and can be accessed by staking any S4 Premium Hero.

⛩️ Maps

Introducing Shinigami Square, the new Season 4 featured map!

Shinigami Square is an arena map with an all new multi-level design. Players can recuperate in rooms, take cover in tunnels, and get the higher ground in elevated lanes.

Top Clans from Season 3 have been immortalized on this map so keep an eye out for some familiar logos!

There are plans to launch another map during Season 4. More info on this new map coming soon!

🔫 NEW! Challenges & Contracts

Season 4 brings with it a revamp to our Quest system. Quests have been split into 2 new groups: Challenges and Contracts.

Challenges

There are 3 types of Challenges: Daily Challenges, Season Challenges and Brutal Challenges.

1. Daily Challenges unlock at level 1, and reward Orbs.

2. Season Challenges unlock at level 6, and reward Uncommon Loot Shards and BP points.

3. Brutal Challenges unlock at level 34, and reward eOrbs.

Contracts

There are 3 types of Contracts: Premium Contracts, Loot Contracts, and Fusion Contracts. Contracts are also gated by player level and require minted skins.

1. Premium Contracts unlock at level 8, and require any minted S4 Premium Hero to be equipped during the tasks. Rewards include S4 Premium Shards and Butter.

2. Loot Contracts unlock at level 21, and require any minted S4 Loot Hero to be equipped during the tasks. Rewards include Rare and Epic S4 Loot Shards and BP points.

3. Fusion Contracts unlock at level 41, and require any Season 3 or Season 4 Fusion Hero. Fusion Contracts are the primary place to earn Gear during Season 4.

🧪 Fusion Recipes

Fusion, launched in Season 3, is a new crafting system in Mini Royale where players can burn specific ingredients in return for a special Fusion Hero of higher rarity. For Season 4, we’ve rebalanced Fusion recipes based on player feedback and new season content.

In Season 4, Fusion recipes will be launched on a weekly basis and last until the end of the season. Only Loot Heroes are available through Fusion (no weapons or Premium Heroes from Fusion this season). The color variation of the prize Fusion Hero will be randomized. Fusion recipes have been greatly simplified as well.

The Butter fee for claiming a fused item has not changed — the amount of Butter required depends on the rarity of the Hero being fused.

Loot Fusion Heroes play a special role and are required to unlock Fusion Contracts, which reward players with Gear. More on that below!

💍 NEW! Gear & Power Level

That’s right - Mini Royale has Gear! Gear is an all new mintable in-game item type that can be equipped to a Hero to boost their Power Level.

Gear comes in 6 forms: Necklace, Bracelet, Ring, Perfume, Watch, and Belt.

Equipping Gear increases various Hero stats including Strength, Toughness, Vitality, Agility, Intellect, and Luck. These stats all contribute to a Hero’s Power Level. Gear must be minted in order to be equipped, and can only be equipped to a minted Hero.

Gear comes in varying rarities, from Uncommon to Legendary.

There are also alignment rules for Gear. Heroes from all seasons have an Alignment of Good, Evil, or Morally Flexible. Heroes with Good Alignment can only equip Good Gear. Heroes with Evil Alignment can only equip Evil Gear. Heroes with Morally Flexible Alignment can equip both Good or Evil Gear!

If a Hero has Gear equipped and is listed for sale, the Gear will be included with the Hero.

Power Level is another all new feature in Season 4. Long term, Power Level will play an important role in PvE modes. In the meantime, Power Level contributes to the amount of Burn Points that can be earned.

🔥 NEW! Burn Points

Burn Points are ANOTHER new feature coming in Season 4. Essentially, players can earn Burn Points through Fusion and through the all new Bonfire. Season and Power Level of burned items will determine the amount of Burn Points earned!

In addition to SOL, Burn Points can then be used to open the Premium Samurai Drop.

Burn Points will go live on faraway.gg/miniroyale in early Q1 2023, so stay tuned! And don’t worry - if you burn during Season 4 Fusion before the feature is released, Burn Points will be retroactively credited to your player account once the feature goes live.

🔢 NEW! Inventory Filters

We love our players. We have learned that not having a good way to filter through the Loadout inventory makes players very sad. We don’t like when players are sad.

In addition to many incoming improvements, we will be launching an all new filtering system to help players find and equip the right Heroes and weapons for Challenges, Contracts, and Clan Wars. These new inventory filters will be released alongside the Gears release.

There is no industry blueprint for how to best operate an open economy game, but we are continuing to listen to our players and ship features to create the most fun and economically sustainable experience possible.

Before we get to the good stuff, here’s a brief Clan Wars overview 📜

Clan Wars are recurring leaderboard events where Clans complete Raids, engage in game item staking for Economic Points, and, once a month, implement big brain strategy to build and defend their cities from enemy Clan missile attacks in World Domination mode. If you’re new to Clan Wars, you can check out our guide here.

Clan Wars are an essential part of Mini Royale. Each week’s Clan War sees peak battle activity and rivalry amongst our game’s strongest clans.

Check out our current Clan Seasonal Leaderboard to meet our top clans!

At the end of each Clan War, the Clans that place on the tiered leaderboard receive prizes like item shards, $BUTTER (the off-chain game token in Mini Royale), Battle Pass points, and more.

And here’s the big news:

Starting with Season 4, Clans and Individuals on the Clan Wars Leaderboard will now also receive SOL!

That’s right, things just got real. Let the competitive juices start flowing.

How Does This Work?

Each week, Mini Royale will release 1 special Premium skin that will have a huge boost in the Clan War of that week. As our players know, acquiring and equipping Boosted Skins is an essential element of Clan Wars strategy.

In order to unlock this featured skin, players can pay a small fee in SOL to open a loot box and obtain a randomized number of skin shards. In addition to the weekly featured skin, shards of all Season 4 Premium hero skins are also accessible through this mechanic.

ICYMI

There are 3 skin types in Mini Royale: Premium skins, Loot skins, and Special skins.

Premium skins come with a series of bonuses, like unlocking the Premium Battle Pass, contributing to Battle Pass Boost, unlocking special Quests, providing staking bonuses in Clan Wars, and, for some season collections, securing holders a bag of $BUTTER and $CHEDDAR (when the token launches).

Loot skins are acquired in-game through the regular Battle Pass & Quests, and can be created through Fusion in the Lab.

Special skins are reserved for top-tier collaborations. Special skins also unlock the Premium Battle Pass and contribute to the Battle Pass Boost.

Once a players has all the shards of the featured skin, they can summon their new hero in The Lab and equip them for Clan Wars.

And this is where the Jackpot comes in. A chunk of the SOL spent by all players to acquire these skins by opening the loot box will go directly to the Clan Wars Jackpot. This amount will then be automatically redistributed to the top Clans and Individuals who place on the leaderboard for that week.

Within each Clan, the SOL is further distributed to Clan members based on their point contribution during the Clan War.

On a more colorful note…

Epic and Legendary Weapon Bullet Trails Got an Update!

Now, when you use a minted, level 25+ Epic or Legendary weapon, you’ll see a cool newly colored bullet trail. Blue for Epics and Purple for Legendaries. Just to add a little pizzazz!

Some other weapon gameplay updates went live as well, including:

- fixing muzzle flash when using scope for better visibility

- removing pulsing of crosshairs while moving

- removing automatic shots from P228 using left mouse button

- fix for off weapon positioning after using Z for zoom on keyboard

- fix for the Lab: you should now see weapon recipes in the weapon tab, not outfit recipes

Item Shards are tiny pieces of a character or weapon skin that can be collected through various prize-giving mechanics like Quests, Daily Attendance, Lucky Shooting Range, Battle Pass, and Clan Wars.

Each shard has a preordained destiny and can only be used for the weapon or character skin that it’s a part of. You’ll need to collect all of the shards for a specific weapon in order to summon the full form.

When Item Shards are Clan Wars prizes, Clan leaders can select amounts to send to various players. If your Clan leaders send you shards, you’ll be notified on the home page.

You’ll start to see this little puzzle piece popping up on the game interface. This identifies a prize as a shard.

You can keep track of how many Item Shards you’ve collected, and how many you need, in the Lab. Some shards of an item are available in a Quest, while the remaining shards are found in Clan Wars. Be sure to keep an eye on the Battle Pass too.

The Lab is now the home of an exciting new feature: Fusion!

Let’s Talk About Fusion 🥼🧪

Fusion is a process that lets players unlock special Heroes through various recipes. There are 3 main types of Fusion: Premium Hero Fusion, Loot Hero Fusion, and Weapon Fusion.

In Season 3, all Legendary and Epic Premium Heroes are available only through Fusion. Most Rare Premium Heroes come from Fusion as well, but some players already received Rare Premium Heroes though the Season 3 airdrop.

There will be 3 waves of Fusion recipes, with new batches of Heroes and weapons being available at roughly the start of each month. We are currently live with Wave 1.

While recipes will change and are subject to rebalance for new waves, there are a few main guidelines:

• All ingredients in Fusion recipes must be minted in order to be used in Fusion.

• Premium ingredients cannot be used in Loot recipes, but Loot ingredients can be used in Premium Fusion.

• Weapon recipes typically require more ingredients than character recipes.

• Once you include an ingredient in Fusion, it is removed from your inventory and sent to be burned, removing it from supply.

• $BUTTER is required for Fusion. The amount of $BUTTER corresponds to rarity, and is subject to rebalance/tweaking.

• It will take about 12 hours for a Fusion process to be complete.

• Fusion prizes are delivered unminted, but they do not need to be leveled up in order to be minted. They can be minted immediately after the Fusion process is complete.

Certain prizes from Fusion are required for upcoming Quests, and some will also receive Boosts in Clan Wars. Some prizes will also be required for Fusion recipes in future waves.

Слияние происходит в Лаборатории, где игроки могут комбинировать различные скины персонажей и оружия в обмен на предметы более высокой редкости, в результате чего предметы-ингредиенты сгорают и исчезают с рынка (наши суперхолдеры очень довольны этой дефляционной функцией).

Существуют отдельные форматы рецептов для Премиум и Лут коллекций. Премиум-герои не могут быть использованы в слиянии Лута, но для некоторых премиум-рецептов требуются ингредиенты Лута. В настоящее время премиум-герои 1-го и 2-го сезонов не будут использоваться в премиум-слияниях 3-го сезона.

🧩 Осколки предметов

🏙 Новая карта: Вторжение

🎒 Система снаряжения

Mini Royale: Nations is an open economy browser FPS and land strategy game launched by Faraway in December 2021. Core features of MRN include Classic FPS game modes like Team Deathmatch, Free For All, and Capture the Flag, Battle Pass, Quests, special weapon and character skins, and more.

Ok, back to business 🙌 Season 3 is live!

Season 3 represents the start of a new era for Mini Royale. From immediately noticeable upgrades like the visual redesign to under-the-hood work, our team has worked relentlessly to deliver immensely improved experiences for newbies and seasoned Royalers alike.

It’s important to note that the huge changes going live in Season 3 are really just the beginning of a series of extreme improvements coming to MRN. Players can expect to see even more updates and new game mechanics inches closer to the start of Season 4 as well. Season 3 is a drastic improvement, but we’re still a ways away from the full picture (wen land?!) 😎

🦸 Characters, Maps and Weapons Got a Glow Up

Developing core game mechanics and fixing bugs have been the main focus of the Mini Royale team since day 1. Now, for more or less the first time, we have been able to dedicate the deserved attention to our graphics. Under the artistic direction of our new Art Director, Mini Royale has entered a new age of modern graphics.

⏫ New Battle Pass with Premium Tier

New season means new Battle Pass! Like the previous season, Season 3 will have a Premium Tier of the Battle Pass that can be unlocked by staking any S1, S2, or S3 Premium or Sank Special Hero.

Owning Premium or Sank Special Heroes will also contribute to the Battle Pass Boost, which gives a healthy chunk of bonus Battle Pass points at the end of matches.

Players can grind through the Battle Pass to unlock Orbs, Enriched Orbs, $BUTTER, weapons, and character skins.

😮 60 New Quests (and no, that’s not a typo)

This season, players will see 60 new mission groups in the form of Daily Quests (available from level 1), Season Quests (available from level 5), Special Quests (available from level 21), and Brutal Quests (available from level 34).

Quests will launch in waves, and all Quests will be available until the end of the season once live.

We’ve worked closely with top players and community members to ensure that our Season 3 Quests are challenging yet balanced, and offer exciting prizes like Orbs, Battle Pass points, full weapons and character skins, as well as shards of weapons and character skins.

🌎 Clan Wars: World Domination

Clan Wars are a core game mechanic in Mini Royale. In a nutshell:

Clan Wars are recurring multi-day events where Clans complete Raids to place on a tiered leaderboard and win large quantities of prizes that can be distributed throughout the Clan.

Clan Wars can be Raid-focused (where it’s easier to earn more points from engaging in battles), Staking-focused (easier to earn more points from staking specific heroes and weapons), or Combo Raids (earning both Military and Economic points will determine a Clan’s place on the leaderboard).

World Domination is a turn-based mode that plays out on top of a normal Clan War event, where the Military and Economic points earned by a Clan can be spent on buildings, defenses and, of course, Nukes. Attacking an enemy Clan’s cities with Nukes allows Clans to destroy and steal some of their enemy’s Leaderboard Score if they are able to get through a target’s defenses.

This strategic mode is slotted to go live during Season 3, and will bring a new level of mastermind gameplay to Mini Royale.

🧪 Welcome to the Fusion Lab

Season 3 will also bring life to another eagerly awaited core mechanic in Mini Royale: Fusion.

Before we jump into Fusion, a quick reminder of Premium vs Loot Collections in Mini Royale:

1. Premium Heroes prior to Season 3 were fixed quantity drops. Heroes of all rarities were airdropped to or minted by the MRN community.

2. Loot characters and weapons can be earned in game though Battle Pass, Quests, Clan Wars, or through community rewards like airdrops. Loot items typically see much higher inventory counts than Premium collections.

Now for the Season 3 twist: players can ONLY unlock epic and legendary rarity Premium Heroes through Fusion. So what’s Fusion?

Fusion takes place in The Lab, where players can combine various character and weapon skins in exchange for higher ranked items, which burns the ingredient items and removes them from market supply (our die-hard holders are very pleased with this deflationary feature).

There are separate recipe formats for Premium and Loot Fusion. No Premium Heroes are able to be used in Loot Fusion, but some Premium recipes do require Loot ingredients. No Season 1 or Season 2 Premium Heroes will be used in Season 3 Premium Fusion for the time being.

Fusion is slotted to go live approximately 1-2 weeks after the launch of Season 3.

🧩 Item Shards

Item Shards are another new form of game content that will come to life during Season 3 (no public launch date at the moment, but we’ll let you know in discord when Item Shards go live).

Item Shards are components of Loot that can be unlocked through various prize-awarding mechanics like Quests. Players must collect specified quantities of Item Shards to unlock full versions of the item itself.

🏙 New Arena Map

Ah, the lore of Mini Royale maps. We’ve have good times, bad times, and strangest of bugs on our beloved maps. Season 3 will features the launch of our new map design and production system, which should greatly improve players’ experiences on our battlegrounds.

Our newest map, Invasion, is a friendly mini town where neighbors are kind, streets are clean, and where extraterrestrial forces from the blackest corners of space have descended to liberate their home planets from intergalactic doom. Peachy!

Invasion is available on all servers and in private rooms for arena modes.

🎒 Gear System

You read that right — Gear is coming to Mini Royale during Season 3! While Gear won’t provide benefits in PvP modes, Mini Royale Heroes will be able to equip or stake earned Gear for boosts in Clan Wars and Quests. Gear will also play a critical role in PvE modes.

Gunplay Improvements & Other Updates

It’s not all fun and games and major feature releases in Mini Royale land. Well, actually it mostly is, but there are still some less grandiose updates to keep an eye out for over the course of the season, like core gameplay updates (eg. decreased accuracy while jumping), UI/UX updates (ex. event progression stats post battle), and community requests (ex. F5 consequences).
